And I haven't been doing much. With my magic gone, I've just been taking care of my place. Perhaps I'll move.

Of course. It's a quality to nurture. It took me some time too.

That's for the best. Our standing with the locals is . . . tenuous. And not worth the risk.

November 19th, I believe. I don't do much though.

i don't really pay attention to my birthdays either, to be honest. they mean even less now.

they never did before. just another tally mark. just another day of the year.

i never had anyone

i had one person who cared at home. but he's not around anymore.

That's what makes the day special, after all.

It's the same for me. My students and best friend are missing, so I didn't think much of the day.

But you can have your own friends here. And maybe someday you feel ready to celebrate your birth with them.

but maybe one day.
