Not many adults would extend such care to younger people.

It should be, I agree. Well, things were better after that whole ordeal at my high school, but there was a period where staff and other adults knew about the things happening to the students. So it's sometimes strange to meet teachers who genuinely care about their work and students. It must be a lot of work and you don't get a lot of time off.
